    Functional,

For it's tiny size it does everything needed. The ir laser is easy to pick up and usable as a light source inside. It seems on par with a PEQ at low power. The vis laser is bright as all hell and easy to see even under the hotspot of a white light. I have questions about the durability of the selector switch but only time will tell.

    DesignateIR review

Posted by Austin on 16th May 2022

I've waited about 2 months to write this review so I can really put this system to the test. I currently run this on my entry rifle that gets quite a bit of use. It's gone through 9 high risk search warrants,4 barricaded gunman callouts, 4 heavy range days and a night vision training course. Here's the down and dirty. My department doesn't buy us great gear, since I didn't wanna pay an arm and a leg i went with this system. It's super low profile, I currently run an eotech exps 3-2. When i first thew this on my rifle i used the eotech xps 3-2 which sits lower than my current optic, even still, i didn't need a riser to see over this system. It does have some minimal shifting of the zero after heavy range days or a busy CAT team detail, i use a 50 yard covering zero so it's relatively easy to fine tune this back to zero when i need. My largest zero shift was 1/2 low and 1/2 inch left after about 800 rounds on a training day. The windage and elevation adjustment also don't have positive clicks when making adjustments, i haven't found that to be a problem as it allows me to split hairs a little better when I'm zeroing. During the night vision course, the only issue I had was the fact that it had one power setting as opposed to a PEQ that has high and low. Under nods, the ir laser is trying enough to wash out small targets at a distance. Sweeping the target was an easy remedy. I shot with the vis laser on a sunny outdoor range at 50 yards and was still able to pick up the last on target, so brightness is solid. Another big perk is the laser sits so close to my bores center of axis, i have to account for minimal offset at various ranges inside 50 yards. Biggest issue I've had is that the laser is currently fragmented ever so slightly. I have my main dot and a tiny, but visible dot that shoots to the 2 o'clock position. It's been outside in the snow, rain and dust, I will try cleaning the lens and it should hopefully clear it up. All in all, happy with it and it does what I need it to.

High quality in a small package at an affordable price. What more can I say? I was looking for something that had a solid laser and IR and when I heard this was dropping I waited it out to scoop one up. Definitely not disappointed.
