The USNV PVS-14A is US Night Vision's most advanced monocular. The versatile Gen 3 USNV PVS-14A features a manual gain control which allows the user to increase or decrease image tube brightness for greater image contrast in varying light conditions. The USNV PVS-14A uses an auto-gated Generation 3 image tube in a compact, high performance, housing designed for multiple applications. The USNV PVS-14A can be hand-held, head-mounted, helmet-mounted and s mounted.

Like the others said, don’t let the “ZS” scare you off. I had to focus on a white wall and stare really hard to figure out where the spots were. I dealt with Steve Anyway, nice guy and he obviously had the time for the customers. Fantastic overall experience and kicka$$ monocular.

Blemish (s) not a dealbreaker

I took a chance on a blemish model to save money. The tube I received had two blemishes: a tiny one in the center only visible when using an IR flashlight and a large one about 1/3 in from the edge. Neither of them really interfere with walking or shooting. Worth it if you're trying to do this on a budget.

After receiving this PVS-14 I can say that I am pleased with the purchase. The unit I ordered was a discounted model with a Zone Spot in the tube. I can say after using it out hiking that the spot is not noticeable. I would recommend this to someone who wanted to get into a NOD and save a bit of money.

AN/PVS-14A GEN III ZS

US NIGHT VISION came as one of the recommended brands for true quality Gen III NVG's (Garamd Thumb). I saw that the ZS models were $500 cheaper then the non-blem sets and decided to take a chance. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another set. The blemish on my set is VERY small, located between zone 1 and 2 and much smaller then the blemishes that they show on the description images. The small spot doesn't obstruct or bother me at all. The set of 14's I was issued in the Army had a small spot as well. The quality of the set is as good as those I was issued. If your sitting the fence, get the ZS set and use the savings to buy your mount and j-arm.

excellent experience with US night vision. The lowered price for the ZS (Zone spot) unit made for an excellent value! Don't let the zone spot deter you from buying this unit. It's amazing. Glad I made the purchase.

This PVS-14 is easily one of the coolest things that I own. I was so blown away by the performance that it took me like 20 minutes to even notice the zone spot. And even though I know it's there, I never notice it while using the optic. Totally worth every penny.

Awesome nods. Small black speck is barely noticeable when in use. Im pretty sure my issued 14s had similar specks . Definitely worth it

First off, do NOT let the “ZS” scare you off. The unit I received does have a tiny black spec, but I have not once noticed it while using this optic, it won’t affect their function whatsoever. If you’re on somewhat of a budget this is an excellent deal. Highly recommended and the guys at USNV are awesome!

Zone blemish barely noticable when in use, well worth the price. Having lots of fun wandering through the woods at night. One day hope to get a discounted white phospor tube next.
